The Indianapolis Colts are giving their offensive line depth, specifically at center, a needed boost.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Colts are acquiring center Sedrick Van Pran-Granger in a trade with the Buffalo Bills.

Sedrick Van Pran-Granger's career
Van Pran-Granger was a fifth-round pick by Buffalo in 2024. He's appeared in 12 regular-season games, making two starts, and playing 217 total snaps.
In a limited sample size, Van Pran-Granger was stout in pass protection, not surrendering any pressures over 37 pass-blocking snaps last season.
Coming out of the 2024 NFL draft, Lance Zierlein of NFL.com had this to say about Van Pran-Granger in his pre-draft scouting report: "He has the hand quickness, placement and play strength to scrap
against the nose, while his innate sense of positioning allows him to beat defenders to the spot moving laterally."
Sedrick Van Pran-Granger's fit with the Colts
The Colts spent the summer searching for a backup center to no avail. The team tried moving guard Dalton Tucker there this summer, but he struggled often with snapping the ball. Veteran Jimmy Morrissey saw some opportunities as well, but he also dealt with inconsistency.
Presumably, Van Pran-Granger will step in and be Tanor Bortolini's backup right away.
Colts - Bills trade details for Sedrick Van Pran-Granger
According to Tom Pelissero, the Colts are sending a 2027 sixth-round pick to Buffalo and a 2027 seventh-round pick.
The Colts will inherit Van Pran-Granger's rookie deal, which still has two years remaining. He is due a base salary of $1.075 million in 2026 and $1.190 million in 2027, per Spotrac.
