What is the story about?

Former Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Geno VanDeMark has been signed to the New York Giants' practice squad, according to Art Stapleton.

VanDeMark signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL draft. He remained with the team through offseason programs and training camp before being released on cutdown day.

Giants have signed OL Geno VanDeMark, a Lodi native who played his high school ball at St. Joseph-Montvale - aka McCourty University - and college ball at Alabama (and Michigan State) to the practice squad. He replaces DB JT Woods.

VanDeMark appeared in all three preseason games for the Colts, playing 80 total offensive snaps, where he lined up at both guard positions.

Making the 53-man roster was always going

to be an uphill battle, and instead of bringing VanDeMark back on the practice squad, the Colts chose to keep veteran Josh Sills as the lone guard.

VanDeMark was one of five Colts' UDFAs to receive over $200,000 in guaranteed money, a fairly significant amount when it comes to undrafted free agency.
