During Wednesday's training camp practice, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones delivered a highly efficient performance.
According to Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan, Jones unofficially completed 19-of-24 throws during a "pass-happy" practice. Keenan Allen, who had six receptions, was his favorite target.
Jones also connected with Laquon Treadwell on a downfield throw.
For the most part, this training camp, Jones has shown little rust upon his return from injury. He's been efficient, found success attacking different levels of the field, taken care of the football, and made plays outside of the pocket.
Through 10 games last season, Jones was one of the most productive quarterbacks in football, while the Colts' offense was off to a red-hot start.
Whether or not Jones can return to that level of play remains to be seen. One NFL analyst is skeptical.
That said, it will be a must for this Colts team that Jones does hit the ground running during the regular season. A difficult stretch to start the season awaits Indianapolis.
While all eyes will be on Jones, he doesn't have to do it all himself either. In front of him should be a stout offensive line unit, while Jonathan Taylor leads the way at running back. In the passing game are Allen, Alec Pierce, Josh Downs, and Tyler Warren, not to mention Shane Steichen's ability to put together game plans.
The Colts' offense in 2026 will go as Jones does.
