Like the rest of us,Indianapolis Colts' running back Jonathan Taylor is aware of all the trade speculation and rumors that surround him.
"You can't avoid it," Taylor said, via Colts.com. "It's definitely (on the) internet, all that stuff. You can't avoid it, but it's more about trying to block that out."
As the Colts shift their focus to the future, already trading away DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson, all eyes are on Taylor, who, understandably so, has garnered plenty of interest from other teams.
However, as Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday, the Colts still haven't received an offer that they are looking for. Rapoport added that the Colts are in search of a Christian McCaffrey-type deal, referencing when the Panthers acquired second-, third-,
fourth-, and fifth-round picks from San Francisco in 2022.
Rapoport also mentioned again that the Colts don't feel like they have to move Taylor and are willing to build around him moving forward.
For now, the Colts seem to be in wait-and-see mode. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, "Indianapolis plans to wait until after Sunday’s game vs the Cowboys before revisiting the offers on the table and making the trades that make sense on Monday and Tuesday ahead of the deadline."
For Taylor, he acknowledges the uncertainty, but remains focused on the day-to-day work and preparing for the Cowboys.
"The past couple weeks, it's kind of been the same thing, but it won't be until Tuesday at that time where then you'll know exactly what's going on, exactly what the verdict is," Taylor said. "You just have to continue to go to work. You got to try to win the game, play your best game to help your team win and then let the chips fall where they may."
