Quarterback Daniel Jones isn’t backing away from his belief in the team despite the Indianapolis Colts’season opener making them look like a basement dweller.
Indianapolis suffered a 41-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium, getting outgained 506-251.
In the wake of the trouncing, Jones acknowledged the poor showing while expressing confidence that the Colts have what they need to rebound.
“We weren’t able to play at the level that we expect,” Jones said, via WISH-TV. “We’ll see where we came up short. But we’re still confident we got the guys to do it, got the system to do it, the scheme to do it. And I think we’ll be ready to go and ready to take a step forward.”

Jones, making his first regular-season appearance since suffering a torn Achilles in December 2025, completed 19 of 31 passes for 166 yards, one touchdown and one interception. His touchdown went to tight end Tyler Warren.
The Colts actually opened the afternoon with a nine-play, 65-yard touchdown drive before Baltimore took control, scoring 28 unanswered points.
Indianapolis now has to turn Jones’ confidence into a response in Week 2.
