The Indianapolis Colts will face the Washington Commanders in London this week, the third international game during Shane Steichen's tenure as head coach.
In the first two meetings, the Colts have found success overseas, defeating the Patriots 10-6 in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2023 and then beating the Atlanta Falcons 31-25 in overtime in Berlin, Germany, last season.
So with that past success, the Colts' travel plans this week will remain the same, "because it's worked," as Steichen put it.
According to Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan, the Colts will practice in Indianapolis on Wednesday and Thursday. The team will then take a night flight to London on Thursday, followed by a walkthrough practice on Friday, not wanting to go all-out right away after
a long flight.
"We try to keep these guys on as normal a schedule as possible," Steichen said, via the Indy Star. "Get the rest on the plane during the red-eye flight."
The Commanders are going a different direction when it comes to travel plans. Washington is already in London and will spend the week there practicing.
