As trade speculation swirls around Jonathan Taylor, the Indianapolis Colts running back addressed on Thursday where things currently stand with the organization.
"I haven't heard anything," Taylor said, via Mike Chappell. "I can't control that. Obviously, as you guys know, I'm always proud to wear the Horseshoe and proud to be here. And similar to Quenton and Buck, they were proud to wear the Horseshoe, proud to be here, but obviously, circumstances may cause otherwise. So hopefully that day may not come, but I can't control that. Only thing I can control is rallying these guys in the locker room, helping us put together a great plan and executing a great plan for Jacksonville, because like I said, it's a division game. They're licking their
chops right now, they think they're going to kick us while we're down and that has to be a point of emphasis."
Chappell adds that Taylor has not requested a trade, but has met with owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon to discuss his role with the franchise.

While the sell-off has begun for the Colts, reports suggest that the team would like to keep Taylor around as part of the rebuild.
That said, this doesn't mean a trade isn't possible either, but as Ian Rapoport said, it would be "pricey."
Although Taylor just signed a two-year, $44 million contract extension prior to the season, thecontract is movable if needed.
The Colts have already traded away Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner, while Josh Downshas requested a trade.
