Indianapolis Coltscornerback Sauce Gardner was very critical of his play in the team's Week 4 win over the Washington Commanders.
In that contest, Gardner allowed three receptions on four targets for 104 yards, which included explosive gains of 47 yards and 48 yards, one of which went for a touchdown.
Gardner also wasn't pleased with his performance against the run either, not to mention that he was penalized once as well.
“Just looking at my effort… in the run game, when the ball is away from me, it’s embarrassing… That was unacceptable," Gardner told ESPN's Stephen Holder.
Colts CB Sauce Gardner keeping it real just now, owning up to what he called poor effort in run support on Sunday. “Just looking at my effort… in the run game, when the ball
is away from me, it’s embarrassing… That was unacceptable.” More to come.

According toPro Football Focus, no cornerback had a higher passer rating when targeted in Week 4 than Gardner.
While no cornerback wants a performance like this on the stat sheet, it was an outlier for Gardner this season. He entered last Sunday's game allowing just five completions on 10 targets with two pass breakups.
Gardner will have the opportunity to bounce back this coming Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
