The Indianapolis Colts have made a veteran addition at defensive end.
The team announced on Wednesday that they signed Carl Lawson to the practice squad. The corresponding move to make room was to release tight end Kenny Fletcher Jr.
Lawson, 31, was in for a workout back on Sept. 23. Over eight seasons, he has appeared in 90 games, which includes making 34 starts. During that span, he's totaled 32 sacks and 32 tackles for loss.
Lawson's most productive season came in 2020 when he recorded 64 pressures. His defensive coordinator at that time was Lou Anarumo. Last season, Lawson played just 26 snaps for the Ravens.
This addition comes as the Colts are dealing with injuries at defensive end. Arden Key will miss some time, while Micheal Clemons is on injured
reserve.
