The Indianapolis Colts have a reminder of what Quenton Nelson brings to their offensive line, courtesy of his work against Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones.
As Colts On SI's Noah Compton noted Friday, citing Next Gen Stats, Nelson held Jones without a pressure across 11 pass-rush matchups during their Week 12 meeting last season.

That performance could determine a win or loss considering how disruptive Jones was throughout the year. He led NFL defensive tackles with 25
quick pressures and ranked fifth at the position with 49 total pressures, via the same data.
Those 11 reps ultimately reflect Nelson’s work against Jones, rather than Kansas City’s overall ability to pressure the quarterback. At least, the Colts can get some comfort from previous action, knowing that their all-time guard can hold up against a game-wrecker.
Nelson, who earned his eighth consecutive Pro Bowl selection last season to extend a streak that began during his rookie year, will once more hold the task of containing Jones.
Assuming pressure gets limited up the middle, enough space may exist for quarterback Daniel Jones to achieve solid effectiveness and escape Kansas City with a win.
