The Indianapolis Colts are reportedly open to trading running back Jonathan Taylor, and those discussions are "active and ongoing," according to Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.
In fact, those trade talks are so active that the Colts have already turned down an offer. According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Colts have said no to a 2027 second-round draft pick plus an additional pick in return for Taylor.
Pelissero posted on X that the Colts are "making clear they’d want a premium to trade the face of the franchise."

Although Taylor just signed a two-year, $44 million contract extension prior to the season, thecontract is movable if needed.
Early reports suggest that the Colts would prefer to keep Taylor around as part of the rebuild, but now that doesn't seem to be the case. With their eye on the future, the Colts are looking to accumulate as much draft capital as possible in an effort to accelerate the turnaround.
Taylor continues to be one of the most productive backs in football, totaling 587 yards with eight rushing touchdowns.
