One fantasy football analyst is advising teams to stay away from Indianapolis Coltsquarterback Daniel Jones in Week 2.
Kyle Dvorchak of NBC Sports put together his weekly start 'em, sit 'em column, and one of his "sits" at the quarterback position was Jones.
The reason? The Chiefs' ability to get after Broncos' quarterback Bo Nix last week and Jones' struggles against pressure throughout his career.
"The Chiefs’ defense just put Bo Nix in a blender with the fourth-highest pressure rate and the third-highest quick pressure rate," Dvorchak wrote. "Jones’s downfall last year came when he stopped being able to handle pressure, which he did extremely well during the first two months of the season. He was dreadful when pressured in Week 1 against Baltimore,
averaging less than one yard per attempt while completing 27.3 percent of his passes."
And the Chiefs did that against what is typically a good Denver offensive line unit.
Not helping Jones last week was that the Colts fell behind quickly against the Ravens, which put the offense in obvious passing situations and limited Indianapolis' ability to lean on the run game.
Do we believe the Colts' defense can keep the Chiefs' offense in check this week? Against an aggressive Steve Spagnuolo defense on the road, can the Colts' offense find steady success?
On both sides of the ball, there are too many unknowns with this Colts team right now.
