Indianapolis Colts' wide receiver Alec Pierce was a non-participant on the Thursday injury report.
This comes after Pierce was a full participant on Wednesday. As Mike Chappell of FOX59 noted, perhaps this was a built in rest day for Pierce, but normally that's listed as "rest."
He is listed with a heel injury, the same injury he has been working through since undergoing offseason surgery on his ankle/heel.
For what it's worth, Pierce indicated before Thursday's practice that the plan was for his workload to increase this week in Kansas City, according to Joel Erickson of the Indy Star.
Against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, Pierce was on the field for 32 of the Colts' 54 offensive plays.
Other injury notes for the Colts
Anthony Richardson (groin) returned to practice and was a full
participant. Austin Ajiake (hamstring) and Keenan Allen (rest) were upgraded from limited participants to full.
Ashton Dulin (ankle) missed practice again, while DJ Giddens (knee) and Grover Stewart (personal) were added to the injury report as non-participants on Thursday.
