If you haveIndianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren on your fantasy football team, ESPN's Dan Grazianothinks it's time to make a trade.
Every Monday morning after the slate of NFL games on Sunday, Graziano puts together his overreactions article, where he addresses a number of topics and determines whether or not the statement is an overreaction or not.
In the "Quick-hitter" fantasy football section of the article, Graziano said it is not an overreaction to trade Warren.
While Warren remains a big part of the Colts' offense with 46 targets this season, the overall struggles of this unit, coupled with the current sell-off that is taking place, are going to cap the tight end's production potential.
"Imagine a scenario in which it's Riley Leonard
throwing to him in the second half and Jonathan Taylor is on a different team," Graziano wrote. "It's not the kind of offense in which you want to stay invested. See if you can get out now while Warren still has value in the eyes of your league mates."
Even with Warren being targeted heavily, his production has already been somewhat limited, with him averaging just 6.8 yards per catch this season. Moving the ball on short to intermediate routes has been a tall task for the Colts offense without a vertical presence on the field. That has allowed defenses to defend Warren and the offense more aggressively.
Potentially losing Taylor in the run game and a change at quarterback, as Graziano brings up, won't improve Warren's opportunities.
