Sunday night's game between theIndianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs will be the 30th matchup all-time between these two teams.

The Colts currently hold the series lead with a record of 18-11, although it was the Chiefs who won the most recent meeting just last season.

In Kansas City in Nov. of 2025, the Chiefs would win in overtime, which started the Colts' end-of-season losing streak, which has continued into Week 1 of the 2026 season.

At one point, the Colts were in complete control of this series. From 1990 through 2014, the Colts had won 13 of the 15 matchups between these two teams.

More recently, the Chiefs have had the slight advantage, winning three of the previous five games.

While it's only Week 2 of the 2026 season, history tells

us that this is a very important game for the Colts.
