The Indianapolis Colts have placeddefensive end Micheal Clemons on injured reserve and also made the Darius Slayton signing official.
Slayton will take Clemons' place on the 53-man roster.
Clemons suffered atoe injury during the Colts' Week 2 matchup with Kansas City.
Clemons has played 38 snaps over the first two games, filling a rotational role at defensive end. He's totaled one pressure and assisted on one tackle. Listed as a defensive end, Clemons does have the versatility to line up inside as well.
Without Clemons, that likely means more opportunities for Caden Curry, as well as George Gumbs, who has been inactive the first two games.
The Colts signed Clemons earlier this offseason to a two-year, $17.5 million deal.

Slayton, 29, has appeared
in 106 games and made 78 starts. He's caught 296 passes, averaging 15.0 yards per catch with 22 touchdowns.
This addition not only bolsters the receiver depth with Alec Pierce injured, but Slayton also adds needed speed to the Colts' offense. He also spent several seasons in New York with Daniel Jones as his quarterback.
The Colts also announced that they've released running back Anderson Castle from the practice squad.
