As we continue to take a look back at theIndianapolis Colts' Week 1 performance against the Baltimore Ravens, let's highlight some noteworthy snap count figures.
For the most part, when it comes to playing time, there aren't many huge surprises, but each week, particularly early on, there are a few things we can glean.
With help from PFF, here are a few quick notes from the Colts' snap count totals from Week 1.
Alec Pierce's workload
It was reported beforehand that Pierce wouldn't be a full-go in this contest. Out of 54 offensive plays, he was on the field for 32 of them as he continues to ramp up following his return from offseason ankle surgery.
What about at linebacker?
Akeem Davis-Gaither played 64 of the Colts' 67 defensive snaps. Jaylon Carlies was second on the team at this position with
42 snaps, while Bryce Boettcher was third with 23 snaps. CJ Allen did not play any snaps.
Defensive end rotation
As expected, Arden Key started opposite of Laiatu Latu. Jaylahn Tuimoloau and Micheal Clemons were next up in the rotation, playing 23 snaps and 14 snaps, respectively. Caden Curry was on the field for three defensive snaps. George Gumbs was inactive.
