ESPN fantasy football analyst Eric Moody believes that you should start Titans' WR Carnell Tate in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts' defense.
As Moody notes, Tate is coming off a week when he scored only 1.6 fantasy points. The week prior, however, he posted a season-high 21.5 fantasy points.
Moody believes that this week against the Colts' secondary, Tate can have a performance closer to what we saw from him in Week 4, when he caught nine passes for 145 yards.
"Tate still leads the Titans in air yards per target (12.65) and overall targets (37)," Moody wrote. "He has a chance to bounce back against a Colts defense that has given up the fifth-most passing yards per game."
While the Colts have Charvarius Ward and Sauce Gardner at cornerback,
both have been prone to surrendering some big plays this season. Gardner is giving up 21.7 yards per catch and Ward is allowing 16.5 yards per reception, per PFF.
As a team, the Colts' defense ranks 29thin yards per pass attempt allowed.
The Colts' struggling pass rush could also create big play opportunities for the Titans' offense by giving Cam Ward time and forcing the Indianapolis secondary to defend Tate longer.
This season, Tate has caught 23-of-36 passes for 274 yards with no touchdowns.
