Drew Ogletree's tenure with the Colts
Ogletree was a sixth-round pick by the Colts in 2022. This offseason, he signed a one-year deal to return to the team, earning $2.25 million.
Recapping Drew Ogletree's 2025 season
Ogletree has carved out a role as the third tight end on the Colts' roster, often filling a blocking-first role. Over 68% of his career snaps have come as a blocker. Ogletree caught 4-of-6 passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.
He's also been a core special teams contributor, playing on five of the six different phases last season.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Drew Ogletree
Ogletree's role is pretty well-defined at this point -- he's a blocker and special teams contributor. The
pecking order at the tight end position is pretty well set as well, with Tyler Warren leading the way and Mo Alie-Cox TE2.
From a long-term perspective, the Colts being able to lean on Ogletree more heavily, so the snap count discrepancy between him and Alie-Cox isn't as wide, may be the ideal scenario, given where those two players are at in their respective careers. Alie-Cox is about to enter his age-33 season.
