A few Indianapolis Colts players chimed in after it was reported that offensive lineman Matt Goncalves was being fined by the NFL.
Following a touchdown reception by tight end Tyler Warren, he handed the ball to Goncalves, who appeared to pop the top on the football and chug it as if it were a beer.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL called the celebration an "offensive demonstration" and had this to say:
“Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration…in poor taste.”
The league fined Gonçalves $8,847.
In response to this news, tight end Mo Alie-Cox joked that Gonçalves was having a soda.

According to The Athletic's James Boyd, Goncalves will appeal the fine.
