Following a blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts again dropped in the latest NFL power rankings.
Now 2-6 on the season and on a four-game losing streak, with more players potentially being traded away over the next week, the Colts are running out of room to fall in the weekly power rankings.
Here is where they sit entering Week 9.
Nate Davis, USA Today: 31st (-)
"They'll host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday in a battle of two organizations that resent the New York Jets."
Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: 30th (-5)
"They are toast. After trading away assets, they laid down in the loss to the Jaguars. Who gets traded next?"
Conor Orr, SI.com: 29th (-3)
"Teams should be interested in Daniel Jones. Teams are interested in Josh Downs and Jonathan Taylor. Head coach Shane Steichen is going to play all of them deeply into
blowouts until someone says otherwise. This is where the owner needs to step in."
Ralph Vacchiano, Fox Sports: 28th (-4)
"Last one left, turn out the lights. The Colts' season is already over, the fire sale has begun, and if they do end up trading RB Jonathan Taylor this week, there’ll be absolutely no hope for this team for the rest of the season. Clearly, trading guard Quenton Nelson and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner signaled to the rest of the locker room that their white flag is up, because they effectually surrendered to the Jaguars in a 42-7 loss. It’s too bad, too, because they really have a soft schedule between now and Christmas. But it doesn’t matter. They’re done."
ESPN: 29th (-3)
Brent Sobleski, Bleacher Report: 31st (-2)
"Indianapolis is readying itself for a full-blown rebuild, which has been needed for quite some time."
Mike Florio, NBC Sports: 29th (-1)
"Trade everyone."
