The Indianapolis Colts’ rough start drew a clear-cut viewpoint following their 34-22 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In a Week 6 NFL power rankings column, Bleacher Report analyst Maurice Moton wrote that Indianapolis looks “stuck in mediocrity” through five games.
Moton noted that the Colts’ defense is cause for trepidation. Pittsburgh rushed for 127 yards despite entering the matchup ranked 22nd in the NFL in rushing offense.
He also underscored cornerback Sauce Gardner, mentioning that opposing quarterbacks have generated a 112.2 passer rating when targeting him this season.
Those issues boosted the frustration of a loss that sunk Indianapolis to 2-3 and continued an inconsistent opening stretch. In addition to the problems Moton brought up,
missed tackles, the inability to push the ball downfield on offense, and a lackluster run game haven't helped the Colts either.
Indianapolis has a shot to push back against the “mediocrity” label in Week 6, returning home to face the Tennessee Titans in an AFC South matchup, with a win bringing them back to .500.
