After the Indianapolis Colts' 42-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, running back Jonathan Taylor gave an honest assessment of the team's performance. As Taylor put it, it was "embarrassing."
"That was embarrassing," Taylor said afterward, via The Athletic's James Boyd. "It's embarrassing. It's a butt whooping. We went down there and they kicked our teeth in. That was an old-fashioned butt whooping, and it was embarrassing, but that's what we put on display. That's what's going to show up on the film."

In addition to mustering just seven points, the Colts' offense averaged just 4.0 yards per playon the day. For some context, this season, the Eagles rank last in the NFL in this metric, averaging 4.4 yards per play.
The defense, meanwhile, surrendered big play after big play. The Jaguars' running backs averaged over 6.0 yards per carry, while Trevor Lawrence threw for 210 yards on only 14 pass attempts.
Even Taylor and the run game struggled. Taylor ran for just 23 yards on eight attempts, with 19 of those yards coming on one carry. With the Colts down multiple scores early, opportunities to run the ball ended up being limited.
Taylor's future with the Colts is currently up in the air astrade speculation ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline continues to swirl.
"I'm part of this," Taylor said of his play, via ESPN. "My performance was nowhere near up to par. … I'm also part of the embarrassing butt whipping."
