If a team wants to acquire Indianapolis Colts' RB Jonathan Taylor ahead of the NFL trade deadline, it is going to "cost a lot," said SI's NFL insider Albert Breer.
According to Breer, the Colts are either searching for a first-round pick in return for Taylor or a Christian McCaffrey-like deal, when the 49ers sent 2023 second-, third-, and fourth-round picks, and a 2024 fifth-rounder to the Panthers.
With Taylor still on the Colts as of Friday, that offer hasn't been presented to them at this time.
Breer concluded by pointing out that the Giants, Broncos and Vikings all reach out about Taylor, but trading partners for the Colts could be dwindling.
"It appears Denver and Minnesota might be a little less inclined to trade for Taylor now," Breer wrote.
"Conversely, the indication I’ve gotten is that while the Giants aren’t offering what Indy wants, they are a serious suitor."
The NFL trade deadline is Nov. 10.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz recently reported that "the belief around the league is that, barring an offer that blows them away, Indianapolis plans to wait until after Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys before revisiting the offers on the table."
