It doesn't sound like Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson will be going anywhere this season.
Richardson was on the Colts' initial 53-man roster, and GM Chris Ballard says that he expects the fourth-year quarterback to remain with the team for the remainder of this season, according to The Athletic's James Boyd.

This comment from Ballard certainly doesn't come as a surprise, but more so confirms what was already expected.
Despite Richardson's trade request coming all the way back in February, he has remained with the team. And as training camp has unfolded, the idea of trading him seemed to become less and less likely, especially as it looks
like Richardson could potentially be named the backup quarterback for this season.
“I think you take care of your own team first," assistant GM Ed Dodds said earlier in camp, via The Athletic's James Boyd. “We want to have three (QBs) that can play. So, if he’s one of them, he’s gonna be here.”
Richardson said recently that he just wants to help the team win in any way that he can.
“Just looking forward to help the team," Richardson said. "If they truly believe that I still have a chance to be on this squad, then I’d love that. I just want to be able to contribute, put my best foot forward, and help the team win."

Whether or not Richardson has rescinded his trade request hasn't been specified. He is currently in the final year of his rookie deal and is set to be a free agent during the 2027 offseason.
