With the Indianapolis Colts' initial 53-man roster set, what might the depth chart on offense look like heading into Week 1 of the regular season?
Here is our latest projection.
Quarterback
- Daniel Jones
- Anthony Richardson
- Riley Leonard
Both Richardson and Leonard had their ups and downs, but Richardson had the better overall preseason performance. His ability to extend plays outside the pocket can also be a differentiator for him.
Running back
- Jonathan Taylor
- Seth McGowan
- DJ Giddens
With Giddens sidelined for much of training camp, that opened the door for McGowan, who was able to take advantage of his opportunities, likely earning the RB2 role.
Wide receiver
- Alec Pierce
- Josh Downs
- Keenan Allen
- Ashton Dulin
- Laquon Treadwell
- Deion Burks
Pierce and Allen will start on the outside with Downs in the slot. Burks is the backup slot option for the Colts, although we could see a rotation as we have in the past if Downs were to ever miss time. My guess
is that Dulin is the first outside wide receiver option off the bench, followed by Treadwell.
Tight end
- Tyler Warren
- Mo Alie-Cox
- Drew Ogletree
Warren will lead the way, with both Alie-Cox and Ogletree being rotated in, just as we saw last year.
Offensive line
- Bernhard Raimann
- Quenton Nelson
- Tanor Bortolini
- Matt Goncalves
- Jalen Travis
- Jalen Farmer
- Dalton Tucker
- Sedrick Van Pran-Granger
We know who the starters are. Farmer and Tucker are backup options at guard, while Van Pran-Granger is the backup center. As of now, Goncalves appears to be the backup swing tackle. The depth of this unit is a major question mark.
