The Indianapolis Colts announced a series ofroster movesahead of their Week 1 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
Offensive tackle Luke Tenuta is back on the 53-man roster after being signed from the practice squad. He was on the initial 53 during roster cutdowns, but was later released and signed to the practice squad.
Tenuta emerged this summer as the Colts' top tackle option off the bench.
In order to make room for Tenuta, the Colts waived cornerback Jaylon Jones. Since Lou Anarumo arrived, Jones has struggled to earn playing time on defense.
The Colts currently have five cornerbacks on the roster, but will be getting Cam Taylor-Britt back after he serves a one-game suspension.
To fill Tenuta's spot on the practice squad, the Colts signed tight
end Kenny Fletcher Jr. This was a position that the Colts were shorthanded at, with only three tight ends on the active roster and none on the practice squad prior to the addition of Fletcher.
Fletcher went undrafted this past April out of Rutgers and spent time with Tampa Bay. In 41 college games, Fletcher caught 46 passes for 373 yards with two scores.
