TheIndianapolis Coltsannounced a pair of roster moves at the tight end position on Thursday.
The team has signed Pharaoh Brown and placed Sean McKeon on injured reserve as the corresponding move. What McKeon's injury is has not been reported.
Brown has been in the NFL since 2017, which includes a stint with the Colts in 2023. He's appeared in 94 career games, making 56 starts, spending time with Arizona, Miami, Seattle, New England, Cleveland, Houston, and the Oakland Raiders.
For his career, he's caught 74 passes for 752 yards with three touchdowns. He had two receptions in Arizona last season. Nearly 67% of his career snaps have come as a blocker, according to PFF. He brings special teams experience to Indianapolis as well.
This addition bolsters
the depth, with McKeon being placed on injured reserve. Will Mallory will still be the favorite for the TE4 role.
McKeon was released by Detroit during roster cutdowns in August of 2024. He was then signed to the Colts' practice squad a few days later, where he spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He played eight snaps on offensea and six on special teams in Week 18 last season as a practice squad elevation.
