With the NFL trade deadline looming, several ESPN analysts proposed hypothetical deals, which includes theIndianapolis Coltsmoving on from WR Josh Downs.
In this deal, Jeremy Fowlerhas the Colts sending Downs to the Kansas City Chiefs, while receiving a 2027 fourth-round pick in return.
"The Colts would love a third-round pick for him but might need to settle for a fourth," Fowler wrote. "The Chiefs would get a much-needed additional playmaker, and the Colts would strengthen their rebuild, though Downs' absence would badly hurt an already struggling offense."
According to Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport, the Colts do have a fourth-round offer from a team on the table.
Downs requested a trade last week. He is currently in the final year of his rookie
deal and is set to be a free agent this upcoming offseason.
A third-round pick by the Colts in 2023, Downs has caught 30 passes this season for 330 yards with one touchdown. He's been a reliable pass-catcher and a frequent target on third downs during his career.
