In an all-around disappointing performance from the Indianapolis Colts in Sunday's blowout loss in Jacksonville, one rookie caught the attention of head coach Shane Steichen -- Caden Curry.
"I thought Caden Curry played his freaking b---- off today," Steichen said post-game. "He was flying around, making plays on special teams, giving great energy. So I was really pleased with the way he went."
Curry was able to recover a fumble forced by Jaylahn Tuimoloau, and he had wins against both the run and passing game against the blocker he was up against.
When it was all said and done, Curry logged one quarterback pressure and four solo tackles on defense.
He also continued to make an impact on special teams, playing 20 snaps across four of the six different
phases.
"That's just my play style," Curry said, via Colts.com. "Obviously, if I'm playing football, it's one speed and it's all go. I'm not going out there and know the situation and play a different way. That's just how the game should be played, and I feel like it's just one speed: It's all go."
With the Colts looking to the future, Curry should continue to get a lot of looks on defense for the remainder of the season, so the team can evaluate how he fits in the long-term picture.
