The Indianapolis Colts had two players earn recognition from Pro Football Focus following their 30-13 victory over the Washington Commanders in London.
Right guard Matt Goncalves and linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither were selected to PFF’s Week 4 Team of the Week, giving Indianapolis a representative on each side of the ball.
Goncalves claimed the right guard spot on PFF's offensive line that also featured San Francisco’s Trent Williams and Detroit’s Christian Mahogany. His selection brings attention to the blocking in a game when Jonathan Taylor scored two rushing touchdowns and Daniel Jones added another on the ground.
Taylor helped Indianapolis pull away in the second half, gaining 40 yards on a 51-yard touchdown drive that ended with Jones reaching
the end zone.
Davis-Gaither, meanwhile, recorded eight tackles, including five solo stops. The veteran joined Giants rookie Arvell Reese as the two linebackers on PFF’s weekly team.
Indianapolis signed Davis-Gaither in March after his release from the Arizona Cardinals. Through four games, he has totaled 37 tackles, with at least seven in every outing.
The recognition follows a second consecutive victory for the Colts, who climbed back to 2-2 after opening the season with losses to Baltimore and Kansas City.
