Indianapolis Colts'wide receiver Alec Pierce returned to the practice field last Thursday after spending training camp on the physically unable to perform list.
Pierce had been sidelined after undergoing left ankle/heel surgery during the offseason.
Pierce has said that his goal is to play Week 1 against Baltimore, and for GM Chris Ballard, that's what he is aiming for as well.
"That's the plan," Ballard said on Tuesday about Pierce's Week 1 availability, per the Indy Star's Nathan Brown.

Pierce's presence on offense for the Colts changes the complexion of this unit. Not only does he bring big-play abilities to this unit, but
the attention he draws with his ability to win downfield can spread out a defense and draw attention, helping to open up opportunities for others.
Pierce signed a four-year, $114 million free agent deal to remain with the Colts earlier this offseason.
