TheIndianapolis Colts came away with a much-needed win over the Houston Texans, however, it wasn't quarterback Daniel Jones' best day.
Jones had several costly miscues that could have changed the outcome of the game.
Facing pressure from the Houston defense, especially Will Anderson throughout the day, Jones fumbled the ball three times, two of which were recovered by the Texans. The last fumble also set the Houston offense up with good field position, helping them score the go-ahead touchdown late.
Jones would also throw an interception near the goal line, a play that would take at least three points off the board for the Colts.
"Obviously you can't turn the ball over like that," Jones said after the game. "Costly for the team. Can't put the team in
that position and certainly understand how important that is as a quarterback, but the game goes on, and you gotta be able to play the next play and execute, and certainly try to do that."

The Colts' defense ended up playing a vital role in overcoming those Jones' turnovers. Despite Indianapolis losing the turnover battle 3-0, those takeaways only translated to seven points for the Houston offense.
While it was tough sledding at times for Jones and the Colts offense, he and the passing game were able to find success over the middle of the field. And when Jones did face pressure, there were times that he was able to generate some chunk plays to help move the ball.
It wasn't a perfect outing by any means, but the Colts found a way to win, and that's something they have frequently struggled to do over the years.
