Following yet another loss for theIndianapolis Colts, head coach Shane Steichen says everything will be evaluated moving forward, including the quarterback position.
After Sunday's Week 8 loss to the Jaguars, Steichen was asked if Daniel Jones would continue to be the starting quarterback.
“I’m gonna evaluate everything. Every position going forward," Steichen said, via James Boyd of The Athletic.
When Steichen was previously asked if Jones would be the starter, he had remained committed to him in those instances.

In the fourth quarter of this game, Steichen turned to Anthony Richardson with the Colts trailing 42-7. Up to that point, Jones was 19 of 28 passing for 144 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions -- one of which went through Tyler Warren's hands and was returned for a touchdown.
Turnovers continue to be an issue for Jones, as does his decision-making and accuracy at times. That said, there hasn't been a lot of help around Jones this season either, although the team was certainly expecting more from him when they signed him to this deal in the offseason.
“(I) gotta play better," Jones said, via Boyd. "Gotta execute more consistently. Put the team in position to score points and win these games.”

Richardson finished Sunday's game -- his first regular-season action since Week 5 of last year -- completing both passes for eight yards. He ran for four yards as well.
On Saturday, The Ringer's Tom Pelissero reported that within Jones' contract is a $10.51 million 2027 injury guarantee, which Pelissero says could "become a factor if and when Indy is out of playoff contention."
The Colts are 2-6 and have an upcoming matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.
