The Indianapolis Coltsannounced that they have signed punter Rigoberto Sanchez to a contract extension.
The contract details have not been reported, but Mike Garafolo noted that it's a two-year extension for Sanchez that makes him a top-five highest-paid punter in the NFL.
Sanchez was originally set to enter the final year of his previous deal, making him a free agent in 2027. He is now under contract through the 2028 season.

Sanchez has routinely showcased his ability to flip the field. Along with the rest of the Colts' punt coverage unit, Sanchez ranked third in average net yards per punt attempt last season, with Indianapolis
surrendering just 6.3 yards per return.
He also ranked 10th in average hangtime and had the sixth-fewest touchbacks and the fourth-fewest return attempts.
Sanchez went undrafted in 2017. He has spent his entire career with the Colts.
