Indianapolis Colts' wide receiver Keenan Allen could face a minimum three-game suspension from the NFL, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Allen was formally charged with two misdemeanor drunk-driving offenses, stemming from his arrest last month in Indianapolis.
"Three-game suspensions are mandated by the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, which also stipulates that suspensions could be longer if a player is intoxicated at higher levels," Schefter wrote.

Per Schefter, Allen had a blood alcohol level of .224, which is three times the legal limit. That could result in a longer
suspension.
"The league could decide to increase the three-game ban that he is already facing," said Schefter.
While the case remains open, Allen is "not expected" to miss playing time. The NFL will wait as the legal process unfolds.
Schefter notes that there is an attorney conference scheduled for Oct. 26.
