Head coach Shane Steichen stressed accountability after the Indianapolis Coltsallowed 506 yards in a 41-23 Week 1 loss to the Ravens.
But he also admitted it's quite the long season ahead.
Baltimore's 506 total yards dwarfed 251 for the Colts. Steichen made clear that one rough afternoon won't define the season, but he also doesn't want the mistakes brushed aside.
“There’s so much football [in front of us],” Steichen said, via WISH-TV. “It’s one game. Like, this could happen Week 6. It just happened to happen Week 1. We don’t want it to happen again. We’re going to look at the tape; we’re going to be honest with each other and hold each other accountable.”

The Ravens did most of their damage behind Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and Zay Flowers. Jackson threw for 324 yards, Henry rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns, and Flowers finished with 150 receiving yards and a score before exiting with a hamstring injury.
The response will need to come quickly for Indianapolis, as the Colts travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 2.
Reviewing the film and owning mishaps will have to prime Steichen's squad for a bounce-back at Arrowhead.
