The Big Ten had eight games played in Week 6 of the 2026 college football season with 15 of the 18 Big Ten teams playing.
The three teams that did not play this week were Michigan, Rutgers and Wisconsin. The only Big Ten game that was played featuring a non-conference opponent was Northwestern vs Ball State. Here is the Big Ten Roundup for all eight of the Big Ten games in Week 6.
Friday: 41-24 Iowa vs Washington
The Huskies remain winless in the conference as the Hawkeyes swooped into Husky Stadium and put up at least one touchdown in each quarter. Washington scored just three points in the first half and although the Huskies were able to outscore Iowa in the third quarter, the game was too far gone for them to mount a comeback.
Saturday: 45-16 Ohio State vs Maryland
The Terrapins kept the ball safe and even snagged
it twice from the Buckeyes, but it wasn't enough to take down the juggernaut. Ohio State's defense silenced Maryland's offense to just 146 total yards, which gave the Buckeyes offense plenty of opportunities to head past the goal line.
Saturday: 20-17 Indiana vs Nebraska
Nebraska nearly took down the defending National Champions as senior quarterback Josh Hoover and Indiana's offense trailed for three quarters. Two touchdowns in the fourth quarter gave them a three-point lead that they clung to as their defense tormented the Cornhuskers for the rest of the quarter.
Saturday: 17-15 UCLA vs Oregon
The Bruins went into Autzen Stadium and forced turnover after turnover to mortify Ducks' fans. UCLA created 10 turnovers in what was a sloppy game by both teams, but the Bruins ended up on top thanks to senior running back Wayne Knight's two touchdown performance.
Saturday: 31-23 USC vs Penn State
The Trojans were tied up with the Nittany Lions going into halftime, but their defense stepped up. USC's defense limited Penn State to just two field goals, while their offense scored two more touchdowns. The Trojans superstar quarterback Jayden Maiava threw for his third touchdown pass to put USC up by eight in the fourth and then a couple drives later, the defense forced a fumble to end the game.
Saturday: 45-14 Northwestern vs Ball State
The Wildcats refused to make it easy on the Cardinals by preventing anyone from getting over 15 yards on the ground on the day. Northwestern scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters, which left Ball State in the dust with their only points scored coming in the second quarter.
Saturday: 38-37 Illinois vs Michigan State
Illinois outlasted Michigan State in their overtime victory as the Spartans fell victim to their failed two-point conversion. The Fighting Illini's win came off the arm of freshman quarterback Michael Clayton II, who completed 6-of-8 pass attempts for 88 passing yards and two touchdowns. The young signal caller stepped in for senior quarterback Katin Houser, who was injured in the third quarter.
Saturday: 41-13 Purdue vs Minnesota
The Boilermakers bulldozed their way past the Golden Gophers with a ferocious run game led by sophomore running back Fame Ijeboi. The six-foot 200-pound sophomore carried the rock 31 times and racked up 195 rushing yards for three touchdowns. Not to be outdone, junior quarterback Ryan Browne had a touchdown pass and was Purdue's second best rusher with 81 rushing yards a touchdown on seven runs.
