The No. 12 UCLA Bruins defended the Rose Bowl against the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday for a 17-7 win and social media had a lot to say in a rollercoaster of a game.
The Bruins started senior quarterback Ty Dieffenbach after the injury to starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava and he started his UCLA career off with a win to help the Bruins remain the last undefeated team in the Big Ten. Here is some of what was said on social media during the UCLA's sixth win of the season.
The last of the undefeated BIG teams
UCLA is gonna be the last undefeated BIG/SEC team, like we all predicted

Chewing up the clock
Ho hum...another 8 1/2 minute drive for UCLA. Totally old school philosophy (60% run
plays) and so far, it's working

Wisconsin vs the refs?
These UCLA refs should be fired and publicly apologize to the state of Wisconsin. Absolutely atrocious officiating

The backup is cooking
UCLA backup QB Ty Dieffenbach is kinda cooking. He’s 11-for-14 with 143 yards and has the Bruins up 10-0.

Bruins football is fun
Ty Dieffenbach is doing his job. Wayne Knight and the other playmakers are stepping up too.

Fumbling for a first
Wise decision there by Colton Joseph to let UCLA knock the ball out past the first down marker.#Badgers recover and move the chains.

This UCLA defense is so special

Trick play backfires
The trickery doesn’t work for UCLA. Wisconsin capitalizes with an interception in plus territory

UCLA crumbles early in the third
Absolute disaster of a start to the 2nd half for UCLA on both sides of the ball.

Penalties everywhere
Are UCLA & Wisconsin the most undisciplined teams ever, or are these refs out of control?#UCLA #Wisconsin

Bruins at No. 1?
UCLA objectively should be ranked #1 in country if no bias

Chesney is truly a magician
It is insane to me the manner in which UCLA is winning, I understand when a new coach shows up and he's an offensive wunderkind that can unlock the quarterback and the immediate impact that can have, what I can't grasp is how Chesney is winning with defense and running the ball
