The UCLA Bruins knew that they’d be spending their Halloween facing off against Nevada in a nonconference showdown but UCLA discovered earlier this week that they’ll be done in time to trick-or-treat.
UCLA and the Big Ten Conference announced that the game will kick off at 1:15p.m. and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Everyone involved should be happy for the afternoon game at the Rose Bowl. Parents will get the chance to watch or attend the game and still have time to take the kids out trick-or-treating after, while college students can head out to parties or bars postgame to take full advantage of Halloween falling on a Saturday this year.
UCLA will hope it’ll be a celebratory Halloween.
The Bruins could potentially be heading to 8-0 if they’re able to take care of business both this week against Michigan State and then again on Halloween versus Nevada.
Nevada is currently 2-4 on the season, with their lone wins coming against Western Kentucky and UTEP. UCLA will be the first Power Four school that the Wolf Pack will see this season, and the No. 9 UCLA Bruins have proven to be more than just your average Power Four school.
Bob Chesney has turned around the program in just one year. While UCLA lost to UNLV and New Mexico State last year, this isn’t the same Bruins squad. UCLA will surely enter the game as heavy favorites and will look to continue their winning ways they’ve displayed under Chesney.
