The second week of college football has concluded and the Big Ten Conference had 17 games played with plenty of Big Ten teams being on the wrong end of upsets.
The only Big Ten Conference team to not play in Week 2 was the Northwestern Wildcats, with six Big Ten teams in the conference fell to their opponents. Whether it was a shocking comeback, a massive win or a slow start this week had it all for the Big Ten. Here is what happened in every Big Ten Conference game in this week's Big Ten Roundup.
Friday: 28-21 Boston College vs Rutgers
A slow first quarter for the Scarlet Knights resulted in their second lost to begin the season. It's also difficult to comeback when Rutgers junior quarterback AJ Surace threw four interceptions with two of them coming in the fourth quarter.
Saturday: 24-23 Texas vs Ohio State
In what might
be the best college football game so far this season, Texas had a comeback win to take down one of the tops teams in college football. The Longhorns held the Buckeyes to zero points in the fourth, while putting up 21-straight points for the win.
Saturday: 55-0 Indiana vs Howard
Indiana put up 41 points in the first two quarters and tacked on 14 in the third to move into Week 3 with consecutive 50-point performances. The Hoosiers handled business with three different quarterbacks, who combined for just 9-16 completed passes and three touchdowns.
Saturday: 39-31 Oklahoma State vs Oregon
It wasn't pretty, but the Cowboys pulled off the upset, clinging onto a massive 24-17 lead at halftime. Oklahoma State's sophomore signal caller Drew Mestemaker threw for 317 passing yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions, while running for 109 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries.
Saturday: 17-10 Michigan vs Oklahoma
The Wolverines bounced back from a nearly embarrassing loss to Western Michigan last week. This time there was no controversy as a late game interception by senior cornerback Jyaire Hill led to a touchdown lead that Michigan would cling on to for their second win of the 2026 season.
Saturday: 49-30 USC vs Louisiana
The Trojans senior signal caller Jayden Maiava continued his great start with five touchdowns and 261 passing yards, but it wasn't all perfect for Maiava. The Ragin' Cajuns lost the game, but they gave the star quarterback his first interception of the 2026 campaign. Unfortunately for Louisiana, winning the turnover battle doesn't always lead to wins as USC bulldozed their way for their third-straight win.
Saturday: 27-9 Penn State vs Temple
The Nittany Lions new quarterback, senior signal caller Rocco Becht, kept dealing as he completed 21-27 for 268 passing yards for three touchdowns. The game was scoreless in the first quarter, but Becht delivered a touchdown in each of the final three quarters to give the Owls no chance at an upset.
Saturday: 16-14 Washington vs Utah State
The Huskies escaped the Aggies with a win to keep Utah State winless and Washington undefeated. The Huskies junior quarterback Demond Williams Jr. slung the rock 41 times, but only completed 26 attempts for 249 passing yards. The leading scorer for the Huskies was senior kicker Tyler Robles with 10 points, while Washington's defense secured the win with three interceptions by three different Husky defenders.
Saturday: 16-13 Iowa vs Iowa State
The Hawkeyes were able to fly away with the win thanks to a strong defensive presence and three field goals by the game's leading scorer, sophomore kicker Caden Buhr. Both teams scored 10 points in the second quarter, but it came down to Buhr's two field goal attempts in the fourth to keep Iowa undefeated.
Saturday: 38-36 Wake Forest vs Purdue
The Boilermakers did their best to win the game as they forced overtime against the Demon Deacons, but a missed two-point conversion ended up being costly, as Wake Forest took the win. Wake Forest's junior quarterback Gio Lopez had a rushing touchdown in overtime and ran for the game-winning two-point conversion.
Saturday: 38-13 Mississippi State vs Minnesota
The Bulldogs bullied the Golden Gophers in the first half of game as they put up 14 points in each of the first two quarters. Minnesota was able to stay clean on the stat with no turnovers, but it didn't mean much when the score was 28-6 heading into halftime.
Saturday: 31-27 Duke vs Illinois
The Fighting Illini were leading by three heading into halftime, but managed just three points for the rest of the game. The Blue Devils defense appeared to awaken as they forced two turnover on downs and an interception in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Dukes to cruise to a win.
Saturday: 35-7 Michigan State vs Eastern Michigan
The Spartans allowed the Eagles to score in the second quarter, but kept them scoreless in the second half. Meanwhile, Michigan State put up five touchdowns with three on the ground and two through the air. Their leading rusher was also, their leading scorer, with senior running back Cam Edwards rushing 21 times for 152 yards on the ground for two touchdowns.
Saturday: 38-14 Maryland vs UConn
The Terrapins defense limited the Huskies offense to a touchdown in the first and another in the second half, as their offense dominated the gridiron. Sophomore quarterback Malik Washington passed the ball 41 times with 34 completions for 347 passing yards and two touchdowns. Maryland's signal caller was in complete control of the game, as he was getting plenty of help from his ground game, who scored three touchdowns.
Saturday: 56-7 Nebraska vs Bowling Green
The Cornhuskers were in full control of the game with multiple touchdowns scored in every quarter, but the third. Nebraska's senior quarterback Anthony Colandrea passed with precision as he completed 20-24 passes for 222 yards and four touchdowns. It was domination by the Cornhuskers from the first whistle to the last.
Saturday: 28-10 UCLA vs San Diego State
The Bruins offense didn't appear to wake up until the second half with both teams entering the locker room at halftime with a score of 0-0. Senior running back Wayne Knight scored the first of the game in the third and put up two more in the fourth. Knight ended the game with 13 carries for 97 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Saturday: 36-9 Wisconsin vs Western Illinois
The Badgers defense tormented the Leathernecks as they forced six punts and a turnover on downs to push their offense towards a win. Of course, a Wisconsin first quarter that featured a touchdown, a field and a blocked punt for a touchdown made a comeback just as arduous for Western Illinois.
