The Philadelphia 76ers will head into the 2026-27 season with a newfound optimism after the additions the front office made to the roster. The Sixers were able to land the biggest names of the summer in the form of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James while also adding to the team's depth and improving the bench unit.
With that being said, they will still rely heavily on the duo of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
The two leaders of this group have formed a bond off the court and some real chemistry on it in order to succeed and make things happen for the Sixers. The two-man game, specifically, between Maxey and Embiid is tough to stop and they know it. Maxey shared a highlight video of the two of them on his Instagram story and tagged Embiid as they prepare
for a new season.

Maxey and Embiid will be looking to lead the Sixers into the new season alongside a new cast of characters. The additions of Brown and James will be helpful for this group in the future, but as mentioned, the Sixers will continue to look at the two mainstays to lead the way.
