The Philadelphia 76ers are preparing for the 2026-27 season as they look to reach the mountaintop for the first time since 1983. The front office has brought in some heavy hitters as well as proven role players who can help them achieve their goals.
One of those heavy hitters is, of course, LeBron James who joins the Sixers as he prepares for an unprecedented 24th season in the league. The future Hall of Famer has won four championships across his brilliant career, his latest with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, and will look to help Philadelphia get the job done in 2027.
One of James' championship teammates on the Lakers has joined him in Philadelphia in the form of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The 13-year veteran out of Georgia is looking to win
his third title and he and James were back in the gym preparing for what's to come in 2026-27.
Along with winning a title with James and the Lakers in 2020, Caldwell-Pope also won a title with the Denver Nuggets in 2023. He brings a wealth of success and experience to a Sixers team that needs some help off the bench. It will be interesting to see him find his niche with this group.
