NEW YORK -- Philadelphia 76ers star Jaylen Brown is one of the better players in this league as he is one of the more talented and smartest players. The basketball IQ he has is always on full display and he is considered an amazing teammate.
After a season in which he averaged 28.7 points and led the Boston Celtics to the 2 seed in the East, Brown is looking to now help the Sixers reach the mountaintop for the first time since the 1983 title team. He and the Sixers have had some good moments in the preseason and the goal now is to continue growing for the challenges they will inevitably face.
Brooklyn Nets coach Jordi Fernandez gave his respect to Brown and everything he's been able to accomplish.
"He can score at 3 levels," Fernandez said of Brown.
"He's a super tough guy to guard and you almost have to throw the kitchen sink at him, because, again, like, he can make a 3, he can score in the mid range, he can get to the rim. He's very athletic, but I think it's his mindset, too."
Brown has made such huge leaps every year of his career. He has gone from a young rookie who is trying to find his way in the league to now he's a superstar and a finals MVP. The Celtics were able to succeed thanks to his services on a nightly basis and they will certainly miss him. Now, he will look to do the same with the Sixers.
"You watch him through the years and he keeps getting better and he’s all about business and his toughness that he projects," Fernandez finished. "A lot of respect for him."
