The Philadelphia 76ers have been the talk of the offseason following the big additions of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James. The two decorated stars will join Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe to form one of the better starting lineups in the game while also giving the Sixers some serious depth behind them.
James joining Philadelphia should be a seamless fit. The future Hall of Famer has one of the highest basketball IQs and has a ton of talent that he will bring to the Sixers. There is a thought process of whether it will all work out, but Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant is shutting all of that down.
Durant stated on James:
They're gonna be a juggernaut. That's what I think...He understands how to put a winning basketball team together.
He’s been in the league for 24 years. He should know how to understand--how to do that. And then he knows how to put himself in a position to be successful. I feel like for him to take a minimum says a lot about his mindset and how he’s going to come into the team. They need a connector of guys that kind of somebody that understands like, 'All right, everybody’s not going to average 25 points on this team, but it’s going to be nights you going to be the man. It’s going to be nights where you got to be the second guy,' but it’s going to be moving parts throughout the whole season. Everybody’s role is going to change. And I think LeBron understands that.

James certainly understands how to win basketball games and win championships. He has four championships in his career as he was able to bring two titles to the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013, lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a historic championship in 2016, and then the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. H still has a ton left to give to this game and will look to help the Sixers end their championship drought, which spans back to 1983.
