PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers will begin their first back-to-back of the season on Saturday when they play host to the Milwaukee Bucks. As the Sixers now move forward, coach Nick Nurse and Co. will have to figure out what they do with Joel Embiid and LeBron James as they look to manage both players in an effort to prepare for the playoffs.
For this matchup against the Bucks, it appears that Embiid will play, but James will likely not. James is listed as questionable against the Bucks due to low back/sciatica management while Embiid is not listed on the injury report. Therefore, one has to assume that the big fella will miss Sunday's matchup with the Detroit Pistons, while James will play.
After Thursday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers,
Embiid was asked if he would play in the upcoming back-to-back.
"I'm not playing both games," Embiid stated. "I'm playing one of them. I don't know. They won't tell me. But yeah, I feel good. So, whatever they tell me, I'll do it. And then if I don't agree with it, I might fight it, but I might not win. So, I kind of give them the freedom to do whatever they want."
As far as the other injuries are concerned, Dean Wade (left ankle sprain) is listed as questionable. He has yet to make his Sixers debut after suffering the injury in the team's preseason finale.
Dominick Barlow (low back stress reaction), Ariel Hukporti (right Achilles tear), and Tacko Fall (left quadriceps strain) are out against the Bucks.
