Philadelphia 76ers guard VJ Edgecombe is looking to build off an impressive rookie season in which he made a lot of different adjustments along the way while also finding ways to make an impact in a number of different areas. He had big moments when the lights were brightest and the challenge now is to build off it.
After some up-and-down playoff performances, Edgecombe has vowed to become a better 3-point shooter. He shot only 29.2% from deep in the postseason, which was a steep decline from the 35.4% he shot in the regular season. He has been working hard in the summer and his work has paid off.
While he has shot the ball well for his native Bahamas in the FIBA World Cup qualifier, Edgecombe has shown off an improved jumper in the latest footage
of the Rico Hines Runs.
Edgecombe and the Sixers will begin the preseason on Oct. 5 against the New York Knicks at home. They will face the Knicks in the regular season opener on Oct. 20 as well.
