CLEVELAND -- The Philadelphia 76ers will be missing their backup center when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Cup on Friday night. After being initially listed as doubtful due to a cervical spine sprain, Adem Bona has officially been downgraded to out.
With Bona sidelined, coach Nick Nurse will have to get a bit creative at the backup center spot. He can turn to LeBron James in a pinch to play some 5, but there's also Jabari Walker and Dean Wade that he can turn to in an effort to give the Sixers some good minutes when Joel Embiid needs his rest.
"I mean, I think that maybe we would use Jabari tonight as a 5," Nurse said pregame. "Use Dean there as well. Then, probably, LeBron after that."
