With the 2026-27 season continuing to approach rather quickly, it's time for players around the league to get back in the gym and get final workouts and preparation in for the challenges to come. The Philadelphia 76ers figure to be in the mix for the Larry O'Brien trophy in 2027 after the moves made in this offseason, but there is work to be done.
Sixers star Tyrese Maxey will be a big factor in whatever run they make in the upcoming season due to his leadership and ruthless scoring on the offensive end of the floor. As he prepares for the new season, trainer Drew Hanlen posted a photo of Maxey working out with Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton as Indiana's leader works his way back from an Achilles injury. He missed all of the 2025-26 season after
leading the Pacers to Game 7 of the 2025 finals.
The Pacers figure to also be in the mix as well when considering they won the East in 2025 and are getting their leader back on the floor. Haliburton is a huge part of everything Indiana does while Maxey will look to lead the Sixers and get to where the Pacers have been.
