It’s summer in the NBA, so it’s time to learn history. The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the older franchises in the NBA. Their history dates to the 1949-50 season.
Given that longevity, the team has had hundreds of players come through the City of Brotherly Love. Sixers Wire looks at the uniform No. 00, which has been worn by eight of those players.
With that being said, here is a look at all eight players who wore the No. 00 number in Philadelphia history:
Benoit Benjamin
Benjamin played 20 games for the Sixers across two seasons from 1997 through 1999. He averaged 3.4 points and 3.1 rebounds.
Eric Montross
Montross also played 20 games for the Sixers in the 1997-98 season before being sent to the Detroit Pistons in a deal. He averaged 3.4 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Sixers.
Amal McCaskill
McCaskill played 59 games for the Sixers in the 2003-04 season and averaged 1.9 points and 2.3 rebounds.
Spencer Hawes
Hawes played 253 games across four seasons with the Sixers and averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds. He played a key role when Philadelphia upset the Chicago Bulls in the 2012 NBA playoffs.
Jacob Pullen
Pullen played three games for the Sixers in the 2017-18 season. He averaged 0.7 points in what were the only three games he played in the league.
Corey Brewer
Brewer played seven games for the Sixers, but those seven games were impressive when considering he wasn't playing NBA basketball until Philadelphia picked him up in January of the 2018-19 season. He averaged 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists for the Sixers and he provided a big spark on the defensive end.
Willie Cauley-Stein
Cauley-Stein played two games for the Sixers. He didn't score and he averaged a rebound and 0.5 assists per game.
Reggie Jackson
Jackson played 31 games for the Sixers in the 2024-25 season averaging 4.4 points, 1.5 assists, and 1.4 rebounds per game. He started one game when the Sixers were dealing with a slew of injuries before Philadelphia flipped him to the Washington Wizards at the 2025 deadline.
